Unity Package Manager

Install net.kiwistudios.assetswap version 26.8.5 with its pinned net.kiwistudios.releasecore 26.8.5 bundled internal technical component. Release Core is supplied and owned through Asset Swap or another compatible Kiwi product; it is not a separate product or standalone download. Keep both package directories unmodified so package provenance and updates remain verifiable.

Open the product from Tools > Kiwi Studios > Asset Swap.

Traditional .unitypackage

Import the complete Asset Swap .unitypackage. Its temporary shared bootstrap verifies the bundle, manifest, exact file inventories, package identities, dependency pin, and SHA-256 values before mutation. It transactionally installs Asset Swap under Packages, installs or upgrades older compatible Core, preserves an exact or newer compatible verified Core, asks Package Manager to resolve, verifies the registered assemblies and installed inventories, and removes Assets/KiwiStudios/ReleaseInstaller after success.

An incompatible Core blocks before mutation. A modified or corrupt Core also blocks; use Tools > Kiwi Studios > Repair Core and Retry Product Installation only after reviewing and backing up those changes. If package resolution or post-reload verification fails, the bootstrap restores the previous embedded package directories and verifies a compensating Package Manager resolve. Interrupted work is recovered from its durable transaction journal on the next load.

Source control

Commit the installed package source when using an embedded installation. Do not commit Library/KiwiStudios/AssetSwap; it contains machine-local previews, evidence exports, and rollback data.

Asset Swap never installs optional packages automatically. Addressables, Timeline, and Localization capabilities report Unavailable when their packages are absent.
